Martin Alvarado Alexi Tuomarila, Bon Bon Jazz Club Malaga Spain
An intimate meeting of Argentine tango and modern jazz. Buenos Aires–born tango singer Martín Alvarado and Finnish jazz pianist and composer Alexi Tuomarila join forces in a duo, placing the spotlight on their original compositions. Alvarado’s powerful and emotive interpretations draw deeply from tango tradition, while Tuomarila’s sophisticated piano work and free improvisation bring jazz-like expansiveness and modern expression to the music.
